Description
The Boswell Hotel is a mid-19th century villa featuring Tudor detailing. It is a two-storey, three-bay building with an L-shaped front. The pointed central doorway is complemented by a castellated and canted ground floor window located in the advanced right bay, with a cross window above it. The first-floor windows are adorned with steep-pedimented dormer heads. The exterior is made of stone-cleaned squared rubble, with painted stone details including hood-moulds and original sash windows. The building has cut-down stacks and slated gabled roofs. A similarly detailed lower wing is present on the south flank.
