34 Cathkin Road, Langside, Glasgow

34 Cathkin Road is a villa built in the late 19th or early 20th century, possibly designed by C J Menart. This two-storey, three-bay building features red ashlar stone and incorporates Renaissance architectural details.

The villa showcases a variety of wall planes, including a curved bow on the ground floor to the left and a recessed right bay with a canted ground floor window. The first floor has cross-windows in the outer bays, while the central door is framed by an architrave with pilasters and a pediment above a sculptured frieze. Most of the windows are sash style, with some having multi-paned upper sashes. The building has deep eaves and a piended slate roof adorned with red ridging tiles.

The property is enclosed by a low boundary wall and features battered square gatepiers. On the north side, there is a garage that is a comparatively early example, while a conservatory on the south side is modern but built on the original footings.
