Craigmount, 33 Newark Drive, Glasgow

Craigmount is a late 19th century villa that features a symmetrical design with two stories and three bays. The building is constructed of ashlar and has distinctive recessed horizontal joints that resemble those found in timber house construction. At the center, there is a porch supported by Corinthian columns, flanked by full-height canted bays on either side. The villa is adorned with paired brackets at the eaves and has end stacks. The roof is piended and slated, topped with iron cresting and includes a glazed billiard room. The windows are fitted with plate glass sashes.

There have been alterations, including the addition of low wings on either side and a significant rear extension. The property is also enclosed by a boundary wall that features elaborately detailed gatepiers.
