Hall, Pollokshields Parish Church, 525 Shields Road, Pollokshields, Glasgow

The Hall at Pollokshields Parish Church, located at 525 Shields Road in Pollokshields, Glasgow, was designed by Robert Baldie in 1878. This large Gothic church features a nave with aisles and a prominent entrance tower at the street corner. The exterior is constructed of stugged and snecked ashlar with polished dressings and has slate roofs. The tower consists of four square stages, supported by angle buttresses, and includes a belfry topped with a lucarned broach spire that has a clock on its elevations.

A large traceried window is situated in the gable facing Albert Drive, complemented by arcaded vestibule lights and doors on either side, one in the tower and one in the stair bay that fronts the side aisle. The Hall at the north has a stepped three-light window in its advanced west gable facing the street. Inside, there are some figurative leaded glass panels. The church is enclosed by cast-iron gates and railings, with gabletted gatepiers. Additionally, there is a war memorial within the enclosure that is listed separately.
