Description
The Day Centre, formerly the Jewish Blind Society, is an Italianate villa built around 1880. This two-storey, three-bay structure features broad eaves and round-arched windows with sculptured details in the spandrels on the first floor. On the left side, there is a deep curved full-height window bay topped with a shallow curved roof. The inner bay includes a painted balustraded Corinthian porch. The building is constructed of stone-cleaned ashlar and has modern glazing, with end stacks and a piended slate roof. The boundary wall along the street is also stone-cleaned and includes panelled gatepiers made of painted ashlar.
