74 Partickhill Road, Glasgow

74 Partickhill Road is a villa built around 1870 in an Italianate, round-arched style. It is a two-storey, three-bay structure featuring painted ashlar on the front and squared rubble on the rear elevation. The northern bay is full-height and bowed. The windows are sash and case.

The entrance is centrally located and has a round-headed architraved design with cavetto moulding, featuring a sculpted tympanum above a short flight of steps with die walls. Above the entrance, there is a round-headed stair window set in an architrave with sculpted spandrels. To the left, a four-light bowed window sits on a raked, moulded cill band and is adorned with richly detailed imposts and tympana, along with a Greek-key frieze. To the right, there is a tripartite window with similar detailing. The first-floor windows are simpler, featuring cill bands supported by rich corbels.

The villa has a modillion cornice and a slate roof, with a finial on the bowed section. The end stacks are corniced and topped with tall pots. The rear elevation is plain, featuring a cat-slide roof and an arched half dormer.
