Description
71D Partickhill Road, 71C, and 71B in Glasgow is a two-storey and attic classical house, built around 1885, that has been converted into flats. The building has a square plan with three bays and features a lower single bay entrance wing to the east. It is constructed of ashlar, painted with linostone, and has sash and case windows.
The central doorway is flanked by sidelights and features a disc frieze with a segmentally pedimented design and consoles. The plain flanking windows are regular at the first floor, and the eaves are boldly projecting with modillion brackets. A glazed billiard room extends through the roof, and the side elevations display irregular fenestration.
The rear elevation consists of three full storeys with three bays, including canted outer bays and a narrow, round-arched tall central entrance. Corniced wallhead stacks are also present.
Inside, there is a columned hall screen with responds and elaborate plasterwork.
