159 Nithsdale Road in Glasgow is a large double villa built in the late 19th century, featuring two storeys and an attic. It is situated on a corner site and includes some cast-iron ornamentation. The exterior is made of stugged and snecked ashlar with polished dressings. The villa has plate glass sash windows and blocked eaves. The south front facing Newark Drive features a full-height curved window in the advanced left bay, which is topped by a dormer set over a curved roof. The right-hand bay on the east elevation, facing Shields Road, is similarly designed, and a shallow two-bay verandah connects the advanced outer bays on that side.
