Description
This is a later 19th century two-storey villa featuring a symmetrical three-bay front. The first floor has horseshoe-arched windows with rusticated voussoirs and shafted mullions. There is a central open porch supported by square pillars, and the outer bays contain bipartite windows. The villa is constructed of painted snecked ashlar and has chimney stacks along with a piended slate roof. On the Shields Road side, there are two bays, with the left bay featuring a bowed window. The garden elevation to the south includes a basement. A low boundary wall with square ashlar gatepiers marks the road junction, and there are elaborate wrought-iron gates that appear to date from around 1900.
