Description
J MacKellar, 1902. 2-storey large villa with renaissance details, asymmetrical elevations. Stugged red ashlar, polished dressings, variety of glazing patterns (including leaded panels), slate roofs; (E) entrance elevation has outer gables, the left (with low wide 4-light window at ground) is advanced, square turreted bay in re-entrant angle shares same plane and has open-worked balustrade, wide depressed-arched and balustraded open porch links with 2-storey canted window right. Kneeler skewputts; tall stacks with projecting caps.
Pair gatepiers at corner Sherbrooke and Sutherland Avenues are channelled, square and with pyramidal caps; rubble-built boundary walls.
