Description

Dunholme, located at 110 and 112 Hamilton Avenue in Glasgow, is a large two-storey villa designed by James Miller in 1909. It showcases the English Cotswold style, featuring single windows or those with thin mullions, as well as mullions and transoms, and metal-framed casements. The east elevation is asymmetrical, with a door set in an elaborate Renaissance doorcase positioned in an advanced narrow off-centre gable. To the left, there is a wide gabled bay, and to the right, a lower range. The villa is constructed of stugged and snecked yellow ashlar with polished dressings, and the skews run horizontally over the angles. It has corniced stacks and broad-eaved steep-pitched slate roofs. The property is further enhanced by corniced square gatepiers and a boundary wall made of stugged ashlar.
