Description
23 and 25 North Overgate in Kinghorn is an 18th-century small house with two stories and an attic, featuring four bays and a crowstepped design, situated on a steeply sloping ground to the southwest. The exterior is harled with painted margins.
On the northeast elevation facing North Overgate, there is a single-storey gabled section with a window located at the outer left. The southeast elevation, which serves as the entrance, includes windows in the outer right and left bays at ground level, and a curved forestair leading to a part-glazed timber door in the center bay at the first floor, accompanied by two small windows to the right and another smaller window to the outer left.
The southwest elevation is mostly blank with a gabled design, featuring a small window to the right of center at the first floor and a tiny window to the right in the gablehead. The northwest elevation has four windows on the ground floor and three to the right of center on the first floor, with a small rooflight above the outer left bay.
The windows throughout the building include 12-pane, small-pane, and plate glass patterns in timber sash and case designs. The roof is pantiled with swept eaves, and there are harled stacks topped with thackstanes and cans.
The property is enclosed by rubble boundary walls.
