Description
1 Stob Cross Road in Markinch is an earlier 19th-century single-storey cottage that forms part of an irregular terrace. The building is constructed from squared and snecked rubble, featuring long and short quoins, painted margins, and chamfered arrises.
On the entrance elevation, there is a modern timber door in the center, flanked by a later bipartite window on the right and a window on the left. The cottage has timber sash and case windows with an 8-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with modern pantiles, and there are coped ashlar stacks, one of which is rendered, along with ashlar coped skews.
