2 Kirk Street, Markinch

2 Kirk Street in Markinch is an earlier 19th-century house that has undergone later alterations and additions. It is a 2-storey, 3-bay building located on a corner site within an irregular terrace to the south. The house features ashlar stonework, dressed at the first floor, with squared rubble on the north side and rubble elsewhere, along with stone cills.

On the east elevation, there is a timber door with a plate glass fanlight at the center, flanked by a window to the left and a triple window to the right, which has been altered. The first floor has regular windows. The north elevation includes a window on the outer left at both floors.

The windows are fitted with plate glass glazing and top-opening sections. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are cavetto coped ashlar stacks with some cans and ashlar coped skews.

The property is enclosed by a coped rubble boundary wall.
