Leitch's House, West Green, Culross

Leitch's House, located at West Green in Culross, dates from the late 17th to 18th century. It is a three-storey, four-bay rectangular-plan house with a harled exterior. The building features an eaves course and has ashlar surrounds to its windows and doors.

On the south elevation, there is a central door with "1685" painted on the door lintel, and a National Trust for Scotland plaque above it. To the left of the door are two windows, and to the right is a larger window, also with a plaque above. A first-floor window is centered above the door and the right window, with another first-floor window to the left. A sloping wall extends southwards from the right corner.

The west elevation has a door to the left, which was formerly a window, and a first-floor window to the right, along with an attic window to the right. The north elevation features a first-floor window at the far right and ground and first-floor windows at the far left, with The House attached at the center. The east elevation has an attic window to the left.

The house has 12-pane timber sash and case windows, a timber panelled door to the south, and a glazed door to the west. The roof is pitched and covered with clay pantiles, and there are corniced gable end stacks.

Inside, the interior was modernized in the 1970s, but Delft tiles remain in the fireplace of the first-floor west room.
