Wright's House, West Green, Culross

Wright's House, located at West Green in Culross, dates back to 1764 and is a two-storey, three-bay L-plan house. It features a cream harl exterior with painted ashlar margins around the windows and door.

The south elevation, which is the principal front, has a central door with "1764" carved into the lintel, flanked by single windows. Above, there are three first-floor windows centered along the eaves. The ground floor window to the right still has the external shutter hinge pins.

The west elevation is attached to Caldervale, while the north elevation is partially visible, showing a rear wing on the right and a later 20th-century flat-roofed room in the inner angle, along with a window on the far left. The east elevation has a first-floor window on the left.

The house features 12-pane timber sash and case windows with horns, a two-leaf timber boarded door, and pitched slate roofs. It has a coped gable apex stack, with a west stack shared with Caldervale, and another coped gable apex stack on the rear wing.

Inside, the house has been modernized.
