Golf Cottage, High Street, Aberlady

Golf Cottage is a house located on High Street in Aberlady, dating from the early to mid 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is a two-storey, three-bay structure built of whitewashed random rubble with concrete margins. The entrance door is situated in the center, flanked by blocked windows on the left and above, with additional windows in the outer bays at ground level. The first floor features two windows that break the eaves, set in swept tile-hung dormers. The rear of the building has seen significant changes, with a small opening on the west gable wall. The front of the house has sash and case windows with 12-pane glazing, while the rear has modern glazing. There is a large chimney stack on the west side and remnants of a crow-stepped gable, with no chimney stack on the east side, and the roof is covered with red pantiles.
