Description
Boonslie is a house located on Main Road in Dirleton, dating from around 1765 with alterations made in the mid 19th century. It is a two-storey, three-bay symmetrical structure built of random rubble with droved ashlar dressings.
On the north elevation, there is a central door flanked by timber mullioned tripartite windows, with the left window enlarged and a smaller window above the door on the first floor. The south elevation features a central door, with the window to the right bay altered to a French window. The first floor has bipartite windows in the outer bays. There is a pentice-roofed projection that connects the left bay at ground level to a former outbuilding to the south. The casement windows have small-pane glazing, and the house has coped raised skews, end stacks, and a slate roof.
