Description

Easterslap is a 2-storey house located on Main Road in Dirleton, dated 1693 but significantly altered over time. The building has a rectangular plan and is constructed from random rubble with ashlar dressings.

On the northeast elevation, there is an off-centre doorway to the right featuring chamfered arrises and a dated lintel, leading to a panelled door. The elevation has irregular small window openings, with five on the first floor and four on the ground floor. Notably, the window to the left of centre was formerly a doorway.

The southeast elevation also displays irregular openings, with a modern conservatory added off-centre to the left. The ground floor features enlarged windows, while the first floor has a small square window off-centre and small single windows in the outer bays.

The house exhibits a variety of glazing patterns, including small pane, 4-pane, and lying-pane styles in the sash and case windows, alongside modern casements. The roof has raised skews and gable end stacks, covered with pantiles.
