Description
Eastfield is a house located on Spey Street in Garmouth, dated 1754. It is a two-storey, five-bay structure featuring closely grouped paired outer bay windows. The front is rendered and lined to resemble ashlar, while the sides are constructed of rubble with tooled and polished ashlar margins and dressings. The entrance is centrally located and features a pediment with a moulded, lugged, and keystoned doorpiece. The windows have 12-pane glazing, and there is an eaves band along with a moulded cornice. The house has renewed end stacks and a slate roof.
At the northeast gable, there is a single-storey, two-bay gabled wing that is set back, along with a small modern rear wing. Inside, there is little of interest apart from raised and fielded panelled window shutters.
