Description
Pynes House is a house located on Jericho Street in Thorverton, dating from the early 19th century, though it may be a remodelling of an earlier structure. The house is whitewashed and rendered, featuring a slate roof with deep eaves and gabled ends, along with ornamental bargeboards on the left end verges. There is a brick stack at the right end.
The building has two storeys and a symmetrical three-bay front. The central front door is recessed and has panelled reveals, pilasters, and a cornice. The windows are 19th-century sixteen-pane sashes.
The front elevation is very complete and presents a notable appearance along Jericho Street. The interior has not been inspected.
