Description

The former Crichton Schoolhouse, built around 1840, is a two-storey, three-bay structure. It features grey stugged ashlar with polished dressings. The central door is panelled and has a rectangular fanlight above it, framed by a Roman Doric-columned doorpiece. The windows are 12-pane sashes, and there are end stacks on the roof, which is covered with graded slates. At the back, there is a low addition.
