Description

35 and 37 High Street in Sanquhar were built in 1823 and are two stories tall with an attic, featuring four bays. The building is constructed of painted ashlar. The ground floor has been altered, likely in the later 19th century, and includes two recessed doors and two shop windows. The first-floor windows have lying-pane sashes, and there is a string course between the floors. The building has a moulded eaves cornice and saw-toothed skews on the left side. There are two piended canted dormers and end stacks, with slated roofs.
