Description
The former Crichton School, built around 1840, is a single-storey building designed in a T-plan layout. It features a south elevation with five bays, while the flanks and rear wing each have two bays. The structure is constructed of grey stugged ashlar with polished dressings, and all windows are 24-pane sashes. The south elevation includes a central panelled two-leaf door topped by a decorative rectangular fanlight, framed by a Roman Doric-columned doorpiece. The building is capped with a piended roof, covered in graded slates.
