Description

Built 1864. Simple, rectangular-plan 3-bay church with porch

on E gable (ie to St Mary Street); gabled vestry adjoins NE

angle. Built of stugged and squared rubble (neatly-coursed in

painted E gable) with ashlar dressings; square-headed

openings throughout. E elevation: single windows flank porch;

central gallery window; plain pinnacles over angles and

apex; bipartite in vestry (door in re-entrant angle). Windows

on W gable flank pulpit; single window at each level to bays, small-paned glazing throughout. Straight skews; slate roof;

only base of ridge ventilator remains.

INTERIOR: 5-sided gallery on circular columns; pulpit has

simple canopy above.
