Description
Pardovan Church, built around 1890, is a rectangular-plan, four-bay church constructed of polychrome brick. It features a projecting porch on the north side and a vestry on the south. The church is primarily made of red brick, with cream brick used for the base, cills, band courses, dentilled eaves course, window arches, skews, and cross motifs on the main elevations, along with ashlar skew blocks. The windows are round-arched, and there are boarded doors.
On the north elevation, the entrance features a lower gabled porch at the center, with a window on the north face and doors on both returns, topped with a slate roof. Tall narrow windows flank the porch, and there is an oculus above it. A gabled brick bellcote with a finial sits at the apex.
The east elevation has four windows arranged symmetrically. The lower piended vestry projects from the southeast corner, with a door located at the re-entrant angle.
The south elevation includes an oculus at the gablehead, with ashlar coped brick stacks breaking the skews at the wallhead on either side of the apex.
The west elevation mirrors the east elevation, with the vestry flush against the wall plane.
The vestry, which abuts the south gable and projects to the east side of the church, is a lower brick lean-to outbuilding that has a coal door and a corrugated roof on the south side, along with a boarded lean-to addition with a felt roof on the west side.
The church features fixed pane glazing with wire mesh grids on the exterior and has a steeply pitched grey slate roof. The interior has not been seen.
