Description
Paible Free Church, built in 1858, is a rectangular-plan, two-bay church located in North Uist. The church features pointed openings, with windows and a fanlight showcasing delicate intersecting tracery. The exterior is pebble-dashed, and there is a door on the north gable beneath a datestone and a gallery window, along with two windows in the south gable. The building has straight skews and a slate roof.
Inside, the church has a gallery with a plain boarded and panelled front on three sides, supported by cast-iron columns. The pulpit is designed with a cusped-panelled front.
The church is situated at the northeast end of a rubble-walled enclosure. The walls are rubble-built, but the wall at the door has been replaced with a modern pebble-dashed wall featuring a wrought-iron railing.
