Description

Alexander Shairp of Oban, architect. Dated 1894 on

west gable. T-plan Gothic church with porch in either

re-entrant angle, that to south forming base of 2-

stage square tower. Rubble-built, with concrete

dressings. Pointed 3-light gable windows, other

openings mostly shouldered. Upper stage of Tower with

twin lancets to each face recessed in rectangular panel

with corbels above; string courses, and pyramidal roof

enclosed by crenellated parapet. Small gabled vestry on

east wall. Slate roofs. Interior: some simple ornament

to pews and hexagonal pulpit, latter with gabled back

board and flanking doors; boarded ceiling.

Enclosed by rubble-built walls, square concrete

gatepiers with raised pyramidal caps.
