Description
73 High Street in Sanquhar is a building dating from the mid to later 18th century. It has two storeys and features five bays. The exterior is made of coursed squared rubble with chamfered ashlar margins, all of which is painted. The building has a recessed central panelled door, with an altered shop door and window to the left. The remaining windows are plate glass sashes. Architectural details include an eaves and lintel band, a cornice, straight skews, end stacks, and a slate roof. The east gable is pebble-dashed, and there is a moulded cornice on the rear elevation. Additionally, there is a lean-to and a low wing, and a cobbled pathway runs northwards.
