Description

74 Main Street is a single-storey, three-bay cottage dating from the early to earlier 19th century, part of a terrace and finished with dry-dash.

The east elevation facing Main Street features a central door and enlarged windows in the outer bays. The south elevation is attached to the taller buildings at Nos 70 and 72 Main Street, while the north elevation adjoins No 76 Main Street.

The cottage has modern glazing and a coped mutual skew to the north. There is a painted brick mutual gablehead stack on the north side, and the roof is covered with small grey slates.
