Description
This cottage at 3 Main Street in Mochrum dates from the early to earlier 19th century and is a single storey with an attic, featuring three bays and part of a terrace. The exterior is made of painted rubble.
On the east elevation facing Main Street, there is a central doorway with a modern door and fanlight, accessed by several shallow granite steps. The outer bays contain windows, and there is a modern full-width box dormer window.
The south elevation is attached to No 1 Main Street, while the north elevation is adjoined to No 5 Main Street. The windows are sash and case with plate glass glazing. The building has coped mutual skews, painted on the south side and made of granite on the north side. It features broad painted rubble mutual stacks and is topped with graded grey slates.
