Description

2 Main Street in Mochrum is a late 18th century, two-storey, three-bay house with a wing attached to the east. The south and west elevations have textured render, while the north and east elevations are finished with painted render. The door features a painted margin.

On the south elevation, the bays are grouped towards the center with a modern door located centrally. The windows are regularly spaced, with small square windows on the first floor. The outer right bay is formed by a lean-to wing that is attached to the east elevation and includes a window facing south. There is a rubble wall from the nearby graveyard that is connected to the outer right side.

The west elevation, which faces Main Street, has a window on the left side on both floors. The east elevation features a lean-to wing that spans the entire length of the elevation. The graveyard wall is clasped to the east elevation of this wing, with a small window above the wall on the right. There is also a lean-to addition on the north side, which has a door facing east that leads into the graveyard through a break in the wall.

On the north elevation, there is a door at the center on the ground floor and a window to the left on the first floor. A lean-to addition extends from the left side on the ground floor, reaching onto the north face of the lean-to wing attached to the east elevation. Some small stones protrude from the structure.

The south elevation features plate glass glazing in the sash and case windows, while the other elevations have modern glazing. The gablehead stacks are rendered, and the roof is covered with purple slates.
