Description
15 Main Street in Mochrum is an earlier 19th century single-storey and attic cottage that is part of a terrace. The building features painted rubble with painted margins and painted rusticated quoins on the south side.
On the east elevation facing Main Street, there is a centrally located doorway with a deep-set modern door. A painted set of steps leads up to the door, flanked by slightly curved, plain iron handrails. Windows are located in the outer bays, and there are modern piended dormer windows above these bays.
The south elevation has painted rubble that extends above the adjoining lower building at No 13 Main Street. The north elevation is attached to No 17 Main Street.
The cottage has 4-pane glazing in sash and case windows. It features broad painted rubble stacks with red sandstone quoins and copes, with a gablehead on the south side that is mutual to the north. The roof is covered with small dark-grey slates.
