Description
49 Main Street in Kirkcolm is a single-storey, three-bay building that likely served as a former toll house, constructed after 1847. The exterior is harled with painted architraved margins.
On the west elevation facing Main Street, there is a central door featuring a two-leaf design and a letter-box fanlight, with windows located in the outer bays. The south elevation has a window positioned at the center. The east elevation includes a lean-to addition on the left side, which has a window facing south.
The building features 6-pane glazing in sash and case windows, a piended roof covered with purple slates, and a harled ridge stack located at the center of the roof.
