Description
33 Main Street in Kirkcolm is a cottage dating from the earlier to mid 19th century. It is a single storey and attic, three-bay structure that forms part of a terrace. The exterior is harled with a painted base course and painted raised stop-chamfered margins around the windows.
On the west elevation facing Main Street, there is a pilastered and corniced doorpiece at the center, with windows in the outer bays. Above the outer bays, there are gabled dormer windows featuring timber bargeboarding and finials.
The south elevation is blank and rendered above the gablehead line of a formerly adjoining building. The north elevation is attached to No 35 Main Street, which is listed separately.
The cottage has modern glazing, red sandstone coped skews, and gablehead stacks on the north and south sides, which are mutual to the north. The roof is covered with grey slates.
