Description
21 Main Street in Kirkcolm is an early 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay house that forms part of a terrace. The exterior is harled with painted raised margins.
On the west elevation facing Main Street, there is a boarded door located at the center, with regular fenestration on both the ground and first floors. The south elevation is blank above the adjoining lower building, No 19 Main Street. The north elevation is attached to the taller building, No 23 Main Street, known as the Blue Peter Hotel.
The windows feature plate glass glazing in sash and case style. The building has a coped skew to the south and a gablehead stack also on the south side, with a roof covered in small grey slates.
