Description
52 Main Street in Kirkcolm is a cottage dating from the earlier to mid 19th century. It is a single-storey building with an attic and features three bays, forming part of a terrace. The exterior is harled, with painted margins and a base course.
On the east elevation facing Main Street, there is a door at the center and a window in each of the outer bays. Above these outer bays are gabled dormer windows.
The south elevation is attached to a taller building, No 50 Main Street, which is listed separately. The north elevation is also adjoined to a taller structure, the Public Hall.
The cottage has modern glazing, no chimney stacks, and is covered with small purple slates.
