Description
48 Main Street in Kirkcolm is a single-storey, four-bay cottage that dates from the earlier to mid-19th century and is part of a terrace. The exterior is dry-dashed with margins.
On the east elevation facing Main Street, there is a door located in the bay to the right of the centre, with windows in the remaining bays. The south elevation is adjoined to No 44 Main Street, while the north elevation is connected to the taller building at No 50 Main Street.
The cottage features modern top-hopper glazing and has no chimneys. The roof is covered with small purple-grey slates.
