Description

30-32 George Street in Stranraer is an earlier 19th-century, three-storey, three-bay classical L-plan building that has been altered at the ground level. The exterior features coursed sandstone with polished granite at the ground floor and rubble on the sides. A cornice separates the ground and first floors, and there are consoled cornices above the first-floor windows. The second-floor openings have panelled aprons, and the upper openings are framed with architraves.

On the south elevation, there is a recessed entrance to the left with a metal glazed door. To the right, there are two large modern studio windows and a metal door at the outer right. The ground floor has a modern fascia, while the upper storeys have regular fenestration.

The upper storeys feature 12-pane timber sash and case windows, while the ground floor has replacement windows. The roof is a grey slate piended design. The interior was not seen in 1997.
