Description
8 Hanover Street in Stranraer is an early 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay classical house. It features a rectangular plan with a rendered exterior and sandstone ashlar painted dressings. The building has a base course, channelled quoins, and window margins.
On the south elevation, there is a central entrance that is pilastered and corniced, leading to a recessed modern door. The ground floor has flanking windows, with the right window being enlarged. The first floor has regular fenestration. The house has modern glazing and a grey slate roof.
The interior was not seen in 1997.
