4 Hanover Street, Stranraer

4 Hanover Street in Stranraer is an earlier 19th-century building that stands two stories tall with an irregular plan. It features a harled exterior with sandstone ashlar dressings and a base course, along with painted margins around the openings.

The south elevation, which serves as the entrance, has three entrances at the center. There are two corniced entrances to the right, a single window at ground level to the outer right, and a shop window at ground level to the outer left. The first floor has regular fenestration. A shop fascia separates the ground and first floors on the left side.

The windows include plate glass timber sash and case windows on the outer right bay, while the remaining windows have modern glazing. The roof is covered with grey slate, featuring stone skews, coped stacks, and circular cans.

The interiors were not seen in 1997.
