2 Hanover Street, Stranraer

2 Hanover Street in Stranraer is an earlier 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay T-plan house. It features harled walls with sandstone ashlar dressings. The exterior includes a base course, a double band course that separates the ground and first floors, and inverted triangles linking the openings on both floors, with painted margins around the windows and doors.

On the south elevation, there are two entrances at the center: a timber door on the left and an infilled door on the right. The ground floor has flanking windows, including a large modern window on the outer right, while the first floor has regular fenestration. The first-floor windows are plate glass timber sash and case, while the ground floor has modern glazing. The roof is covered with grey slate and features coped stacks with circular cans.

The interior was not seen in 1997.
