Morland, London Road, Stranraer

Morland is an early 19th century single-storey cottage with a basement and attic, featuring a symmetrical three-bay rectangular plan. The exterior is finished in painted render with painted margins around the openings.

The northern elevation, which serves as the entrance, has steps leading to a central entrance with a modern timber door and a letterbox fanlight above. There are single windows on all floors flanking the entrance, and the attic features canted dormers.

The windows are a mix of plate glass and four-pane timber sash and case styles, along with a rooflight. The cottage has a grey slate roof, stone skews, and corniced gablehead stacks with circular cans.

The interior was not seen in 1997.

The property is enclosed by painted rubble boundary walls, which are complemented by square plan gatepiers that have recessed panels.
