Description
Madera Cottage is an earlier 19th century single-storey cottage with an attic, featuring four bays and a recessed garage entrance on the outer left. The exterior is finished in painted render with projecting cills.
On the northwest elevation facing Main Street, there is a three-leaf boarded timber door offset to the left of centre, accompanied by a narrow letterbox fanlight. The recessed boarded timber garage door is located in the outer left bay, with a gabled dormer directly above it. The two remaining bays to the right of the entrance contain single windows, and there is another gabled dormer in the outer right bay.
The windows are timber sash and case with four-pane glazing. The roof is covered in grey slate, featuring raised stone skews and cast-iron rainwater goods. The cottage has red brick apex stacks with various circular cans.
The interior was not seen in 1997.
