57 Hanover Street, Stranraer

57 Hanover Street in Stranraer is an earlier 19th century, two-storey, three-bay house designed in a T-plan layout with a plain symmetrical appearance. The ground floor is harled, while the first floor is rendered. The building features a base course, a band course, and strip margins at the ground floor only, with painted margins around the openings. The ground floor has plain detailing, while the first floor has architraved openings.

On the north elevation, which faces the entrance, there is a replacement timber door at the centre flanked by single windows on the ground floor. The first floor has a regular arrangement of windows. The windows are replacement timber sash and case types, with four panes on the ground floor and nine panes on the first floor. The roof is covered with grey slate and has a coped gablehead stack on the outer left side. The interior was not seen in 1997.
