23, 25 Church Street, Stranraer

27 Church Street in Stranraer is an earlier 19th century, two-storey, four-bay terraced tenement with a shop on the ground floor. The building features painted render and includes a base course, a moulded dentilled band course that separates the floors, flanking scrolled end blocks, channelled quoins, and architraved windows on the first floor.

The southwest elevation, which serves as the entrance, has three doorways at the center: a two-leaf timber door to the left, and single timber doors in the center and to the right. There is a single window at the ground level on the outer left and both single and double-width windows on the outer right. The first floor has a regular arrangement of windows.

While the ground floor predominantly features modern glazing, the upper storey retains original timber 12-pane sash and case windows on the right side, along with Velux rooflights. The roof is covered with grey slate and includes skews, coped rendered stacks, and circular cans. The building also has cast iron rainwater goods. The interiors were not seen in 1997.
