Description

34 Bridge Street in Stranraer is an earlier 19th-century, two-storey building with an attic, designed in an L-shape and facing both Bridge and Church Streets. The ground floor is rendered, while the first floor is harled. It features a base course, a band course, painted surrounds around the openings, and rolled cornices above the ground floor openings. The gable head is prominent on the outer left side of the Bridge Street elevation, covering two bays.

On the southeast entrance elevation, there is an entrance on the outer right, which includes a blocked doorpiece with a keystone, a glass and timber door, and strip glazing to the right. There is a single window on the first floor and two single windows to the left on the ground floor, with another single window on the outer left side of the first floor.

The southwest elevation facing Church Street has three single windows on both the ground and first floors, along with two canted dormers on the outer left and right sides of the attic.

The building features plate glass timber sash and case glazing, a grey slate roof, stone skews, a coped gablehead stack, and mutual coped brick stacks shared with adjacent properties on Bridge and Church Streets. The interior was not seen in 1997.
