2-6 George Street, Stranraer

2-6 George Street in Stranraer is an earlier 19th century building that features a two-storey and attic structure with an L-shaped plan, comprising four bays that face George Street. The exterior is finished in painted render, with a tiled base course, a corniced string course, painted margins around the openings, projecting pilasters, and projecting cills.

On the south elevation, there are two pairs of glass doors at the central entrance, framed by a tiled surround. Large studio windows with projecting cills flank the entrance, and there are hopper openings at the top. A modern fascia is present above. The first floor has four single windows.

The east elevation, facing North Strand Street, has blocked openings at ground level and three single windows on the first floor, along with a dormer in the attic.

The ground floor features modern glazing, while the upper floors have a mix of two, three, four, and twelve-pane sash and case windows, as well as cast-iron rooflights and a canted dormer. The roof is finished in grey slate with a piended design, featuring a mutual coped ridge stack shared with Nos 8-10, and a wallhead stack located at the rear to the north.

Inside, the building has modern restaurant fittings.
