Description

This is a road bridge from the earlier 19th century, featuring a segmental arch that rises high above Hind Gill. The bridge is constructed entirely of rubble and includes a cast-iron rectangular pedestrian refuge or viewing platform that is cantilevered centrally over each side, likely added in the late 19th century. The parapets have sloped coping blocks and are asymmetrically splayed at the approaches.
