Description

Hodge Bridge is a bridge that likely dates from the 18th century, with later additions to the parapets and widening. It is constructed of stone rubble with dressed coping. The bridge features a slightly pointed segmental arch made of thin rough voussoirs. The southern approach has been widened on squinch arches, with the arch to the west probably from the 18th century and the arch to the east likely from the 19th century. The low parapet has reeded coping and plain iron railings. The stream bed beneath the bridge is paved, with additional paving to the west, downstream.
